About this dump

This wiki is designed to give users an easy-to-navigate window into the world of the Second Life™ group Justice League Unlimited (JLU), a superhero-themed roleplay and anti-griefing organization.

Although the JLU certainly has good intentions, they have amassed a database containing thousands of pages of personal information and possibly millions of Abuse Reports. Back in 2009, a new recruit to the JLU collected about half of the information given to him and stored it for the world to see, although he was discovered and expelled prior to collecting the entire wiki.

The data this person collected is both fascinating and horrifying. Among the thousands of pages on people who the JLU dispise or admire are useful articles and tips that the world would have benefited from. Does this organization work for the public good, or to their own ends? Why do they hide information that the metaverse would find useful? Why do they collect the personal information of so many individuals?

The most puzzling thing about the JLU is that they usually only make griefing situations worse. Most of the time, a griefer will enter a sim, drop off their payload and leave, as there's no entertainment value to watching objects one has seen thousands of times before. Residents in the area affected file ARs, Lindens ban the griefer and the mess is cleaned up. Relatively little fuss is involved.

When the JLU enter the equation, the griefer sees the JLU members as big, glowing, funny-looking targets that would look great in a youtube video. The JLU member calls in backup, the griefer brings in his friends, and the situation escalates. This can easily take a simple particle-spammer incident into sim-crashing territory.
